He typed from 6000 miles away, “Did you catch up with any friends?”.
College friends are fun – Instant catchup.
“Nahin Yaar”, I typed almost sadly. “Not met or spoken to anyone.”
“That’s sad, we seem to be always caught up in work, don’t we?”, “Funny in all these years we have moved from a bus to a car!”
Almost philosophically he signed off.
A sudden realisation filled with memories of all those friends who have been part of my journey thus far.
Some in touch,
Some out off,
Some that I probably can’t remember if we were friends,
Some who still consider me a friend,
Some that I probably can’t remember if we were friends,
yet you were there when I needed you.
Thank you.
I want my bus back.
Let me know once you find your bus.

The bus never returns. Neither do the cars, btw.

the good old days…thanks to social networking websites…we can keep in touch with most ‘friends’ ..try using them!
but yes, the good old days of taking the bus …are just trapped in memories…

things are fast these days. buses don’t wait. we need to rush, be on time. if, we want to catch the bus, that is. it is a choice we make.

@nisha – yeah I know – it’s just in memories. Social networking though is able to capture some of it
@dharma – we are constantly trying to keep pace – wonder if it is all worth it.
